It's been awhile!

Well, I'm back and have been staying at my parents property and we are pretty sure it's sold(yeah, I know that may jinx it). Now I have to move!
We didn't do probate, because someone told my sister we didn't have to.We found out the hard way that we do. Always do probate! The buyers have been really good about waiting, but I can't get my money for 4 months! It's gonna be a good Christmas, though.
I don't do the SCA thing anymore as I just couldn't afford it and my son lost interest, so I'm getting back into spinning.
When I get my money, I'm buying an espinner, probably an Hansen. I have bad hips, so it's hard to treadle for long.

Shameless Plug For A Great Book!

Thanks, to my fellow Norsefolk_2 group member,Nancy Marie Brown, and her publishers, I received a prepub copy of her new book "The Far Traveler: Voyages of a Viking Woman". I literaly could not put it down. This was such an wonderful book about the Icelandic sagas and in particular, Gudrid who was a viking who traveled to Canada, had a son there, then came back to Icleand and then eventually to Rome.

Back online!

After getting a virus and being canceld by my old ISP, I am back.
I got my Fiber Frenzy swap package from Heidi in Norway and I just love all the goodies she sent. THe chocolate was yummy! There were many different fibers and some handmade bead stitch markers. I will post a picture soon, but haven't had time , cause I've been working a lot.

Things going on

Our new library is well underway! It's so nice to be able actually see progress for a change. We have had many setbacks and it seemed that it would never get built.

I joined Weekend Whirls the other day, but haven't had time to post yet. The Fiber Frenzy swap is funand I'm about ready to mail my package. I think I'm reciveing one from Norway, but not sure. I can't wait to see what I get.

I just receive the info for my swap pal. Hi Melanie! I love doing fiber swaps and always get the neatest stuff. It's just like birthdays and Christmas all rolled into one.
